Every reader gets a score based only on your own history with them in ARC Tracker and Beta Readers. Nothing from other authors is used.
What counts
- Finished: an ARC marked Reviewed, or a beta read marked Finished feedback.
- Went quiet: an ARC marked Did not review, No response or Went quiet, or a beta read marked Went quiet.
Everything else doesn't count either way, including applied, invited, copy sent, still reading, declined and turned away. Someone in the middle of a read hasn't finished yet, so they aren't marked down for it.
The scores
| Score | When |
|---|---|
| No history yet | Fewer than 2 finished or went-quiet outcomes |
| Reliable | 80% or more finished |
| Mixed | 50% to 79% finished |
| Often goes quiet | Under 50% finished |
The profile shows the counts behind the score, for example: 3 finished, 1 went quiet in your own ARC and Beta history with this reader.
Setting the score yourself
If you know better than the numbers, open the profile and choose Reliable, Mixed or Often goes quiet from the Reliability dropdown. The profile then says Set by you. Your choice is used everywhere, including the Any score filter and Best score first sorting.
To go back to the calculated score, choose Automatic (from your history).
