Why isn't a reader showing in Reader Profiles?

A reader appears in Reader Profiles as soon as they have at least one entry in ARC Tracker or Beta Readers with an email address. That includes entries you added by hand, imported, or that came in through a form that sends responses to one of those tools.

If someone is missing, check these:

  1. The entry has no email. Entries without an email can't be matched to a person, so they're left out. Add the reader's email to their entry in ARC Tracker or Beta Readers and they'll appear.
  2. They only filled in a form or got a reader magnet. A form response or reader magnet download doesn't create a profile on its own. A form that sends responses to ARC Tracker or Beta Readers does, because it creates an entry there.
  3. The email is spelled differently. Profiles match the exact address, ignoring capital letters. [email protected] and [email protected] are two different readers.

Archived entries still count. They show in the reader's history marked as archived.

If you open a link to someone who isn't in either tool, you'll see No reader with that email is in your ARC Tracker or Beta Readers.

The name shown on a profile comes from the reader's most recently updated entry. To change it, edit their name in ARC Tracker or Beta Readers.
